A surge relief skid, also known as a surge relief system or skid-mounted surge protection unit, is a pre-engineered and skid-mounted package designed to protect pipelines, equipment, and systems from pressure surges or transient conditions that may occur in fluid handling systems. These surge events can result from rapid changes in flow rates, pump trips, valve closures, or other operational changes and they can potentially lead to damage to equipment or compromise the integrity of the system. Surge relief skids are designed to mitigate these risks by providing a controlled means for pressure relief.

Surge relief skid is an Integrated system consist of surge relief valves, Isolation valves, Piping and Instrumentation & Controls
